Predictions for the 2021-22 season

The Avalanche routing the Lightning last night was quite a surprise. Given that 7-0 win and the Avalanche winning the first game as well, it now has 87% probability of winning the Cup. I don’t think the Lightning will make it easy to them though.

Last week I mentioned that goaltending would be key for the Avalanche. It has not been a problem thus far. Surprisingly, it has been more of an issue for the Lightning. I expect Vasilevskiy to rebound.

Power ranking

With the last two wins, it’s no surprise that the Avalanche is still on top. The bad loss in game two of the finals caused the Lightning to drop to third.
